Run in parallel with the LLELA Eco-Tour, we will provide moving water skills development training. This class is ideal for those with flatwater or river float kayak experience. We will work on refining your boat maneuvering skills and introduce a few specialized strokes for moving water. You will learn ferrying and S turns using draw strokes along the aprox. 6 miles of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River.
Depending on water level we will encounter 2, possibly 3 features to practice refining your skills. This class will also include river rescue techniques for an unskirted capsize.
Price includes LLELA access fee, rental off all paddling gear; boat, PFD, paddle and helmet, shuttle and instruction from ACA L2 River instructors.
9-10am Safety talk, 10 am Paddles Wet. Participation in safety talk required, your safety is our top priority.
