Join us for a one day Introduction to Kayaking with Paddlesport Safety Facilitator(PSF) certification class. If you want to learn how to self rescue or assist friends in a rescue, Paddlesport Safety is an essential class to learn several approaches for each. The class includes essential equipment review, stroke mechanics, several assisted rescue techniques, environmental awareness and situational safety assessment knowledge to ensure you are equipped for safe paddling on calm lakes and rivers.

Our Paddlesport Safety Facilitator class is ideal for individuals to improve their kayak technique and gain self and assisted rescues techniques. Often Municipalities and Organizations with paddle sport programs require the ACA PSF Endorsement, this class fulfills that by providing a credential to your ACA membership that you have received additional training in situational paddle sport safety awareness, risk mitigation and rescue techniques to support your outdoor adventures and educational activities.

The class combines land and water based activities with time to practice several kayak rescue techniques. Class fee includes rental of all necessary equipment. Site specifics will be provided before the class and will be dependent on water levels at the venue options.
