Join KayakPower for a 5 day / 4 night Southeast Utah paddle and hiking adventure. We will base out of the community of Bluff, Utah (population 250), quietly nestled between 300-foot, red sandstone cliffs along the San Juan River making it the ideal setting to start exploring southeast Utah.
The trip combines exploring the history of ancient Puebloan life from land and the water. Participants will explore the area’s cultural and geological history by hiking to ancient Puebloan Petroglyphs to see the story board of their lives and paddling down the San Juan river as it snakes through the Navajo Nation and the headland canyons of the Grand Canyon.
After 2 nights in a local hotel exploring the area around Bluff participants will be guided downriver in a professionally oared river raft. Camping riverside, we will be treated to an outdoor museum of archaeology, geology and dark skies for star gazing.
Includes 2 nights in a hotel, 2 nights camping and all meals from the welcome dinner to lunch on the last day.
